You will attend Dentistry Plus for a consultation appointment with Dr Ally, during which you will explore the suitability of jaw relaxants for your needs. It is likely you will then schedule another visit to have the treatment completed, however repeat treatments won’t require a consultation. The process is quick and is expected to take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

The administration of jaw relaxants typically results in only slight discomfort. Most individuals can typically return to their regular daily routines without much disruption. On rare occasions, simple over-the-counter pain relief may be required, although this is usually unnecessary beyond the first 24 hours.

No special care is required; however we advise refraining from mild exercise for at least 4 hours and moderate – heavy exercise for at least 24 hours.

Each patient is different however in most cases it is approximately every 3-4 months.
